Description for SMC:
Sheet molding compound (SMC) compositions are complex mixtures of resins and fiberglass with various ingredients (fillers, catalysts, thickeners), all of which influence important property and processing characteristics. we mainly use unsaturated polyesters and vinyl esters as being the major systems used.
SMC formula can be customized according to the finished products' requirements to achieve the special functions: such as a typical low profile SMC composition useful for molding automative body panels with quality surface, polished surface building materials like sanitary products, flame retardant electronic products or high strength products so on.
